Episode 2
Can Purna convince Nat to Natyam
While Nat and Purna travel to Ipoh, Purna’s hometown where her Bharatanatyam journey began and ended, Nat learns more about Purna’s past experience with it and everything else that leads up to her Arangetram.Â
Purna talks about the hardships of going through with Bharatanatyam as honestly as she can. She tells Nat about her struggles and what she had to endure leading up to her Arangetram. It was no easy feat for Purna, and Nat realises that Bharatanatyam wasn't just all fun and games with a touch of glam and limbs flailing around. She learns that it takes not only a lot of willpower and determination but also a ton of resources and funds. As if doused by a cold bucket of water, Nat suddenly reconsiders if Bharatanatyam is something that she can properly execute. She wonders if it comes down to it, can she be as capable and strong-willed as Purna? And will she be able to complete something so rigorous?
Nat was also shocked to find out that the Arangetram wasn't something everyone was able to complete, Purna does her best not to discourage Nat when she explains the resources that go into preparing for the Arangetram. It sparks a new interest in Nat when she hears that. With Nat's newly regained confidence and interest in Bharatanatyam, she's curious to find out what exactly comes after Arangetram.

Behind the Scenes
Our amazing sound engineer, Kuha, uses the magic of editing to make the very podcast you're listening to become a reality! His masterful editing resulted in this episode's ambience of being on a train and listening in on Nachitra and Purnashree conversing.Â
A fun fact about Kuha is that he has been listening to our hosts' voices so much, the thoughts that he has no longer belongs to his own voice but theirs. Don't let him fool you into thinking he doesn't enjoy what he does though, he's actually the biggest fan of Natasha and Purna!
